Are there other forms of scrying in D&D?

are you playing 3.5 or 4th edition ? If your playing 3.5 maybe your wizard could send a mirror image of her to the elder or use charm person.I don't think these examples are scrying but maybe they can help. I know you said you didn't think you had time for a message but try to use unseen servant.If your playing 4th edition i can't help you.
