If I'm a jerk to him will he like me more?

So apparently guys only like girls that are a**holes, and vice versa, so I was wondering if I start being rude to this guy, ignoring his text messages and treating him like I could care less about him, you think he would start to like me? I guess this would sort of be "playing hard to get". He always whines that girls always go for the jerky guys and I'm like.... seriously!? I'm right here... I'm a girl... and you don't like me. He's being a total hypocrite and it pisses me off.
