Virtual Villagers?

First, you have to get enough tech points to purchase the 2nd level of farming before you could drag a farmer to that soil to plant something. Second, no, the berries only lasted so long so you need to purchase the farming and fishing as soon as possible then they can eat more than just berries. (even farming don't last forever, it'll take some time to replenish so don't plug all the berries just yet either, fishing is the only unlimited resources) Third, as for the mom and her babies, I believe in normal times, it tooks 2 hours. In 2x times, it took half an hour or so. I could be wrong, it's been a while... Hope it helps...
