Why can't you ladies be honest when answering Yahoo personals?

I was a member of Yahoo personals for two years and I found that ladies would say what they were looking for and then they would lie, change the mind (instead of lying) or just not answering. I would fit everything on their profile but they would make excuses instead of at least giving a guy a chance...maybe we could at least be friends. NO? Be honest with yourself if your really looking for someone to be in your life...are you afriad people will think bad of you if your honest?
